How Can I Buy a Ticket?

You’ll need a ferry ticket for your Bodrum-Datça trip. We can offer you a few options for this.
Ferry Ticket
1) You can purchase tickets online through the most popular website, ticket.bodrumferibot.com. This site also sells tickets for Kos Island. If you’re curious about Kos Island, you can also check out our article on “Kos Island Day Trip.”
2) Other options include ticket comparison websites. They display all companies in one place and help you choose the best price. You can view the schedules directly via the link at omio.com/bodrum-datca.
Important: On some days, there may be only outbound trips, and on the following day, only return trips. This may not fit your day-trip plans and may require a one-night stay. This is generally the case during the winter months.
Bus Tickets
The websites listed above will help you book a ferry ticket. If you’dprefer to travel by bus, you can check out sites like enuygun.com. However, during the winter months, bus tickets are usually only available between Bodrum and Muğla. From Muğla, you’ll need to take a separate minibus to Datça.
Tickets at the Port
If you’re concerned about buying tickets online, you can also purchase your ticket at the port. However, this option is generally not recommended, as tickets can sell out up to a week in advance, especially during the summer months. If possible, try to buy your ticket at the port—but make sure to do so well in advance.
Day Trip Plan

If you’re planning a day trip to Datça, you’ll have about 6–7 hours. Let’s plan how to make the most of this time together:
Kumluk Beach

It’s a 2-minute walk from the ferry. The water is usually very clean. You can either take a quick swim or enjoy the seaside atmosphere with a cup of coffee.
Lunch by the Sea

Even if you just pick a random restaurant along the shore, you won’t be disappointed. Still, feel free to choose one that suits your taste. Stick to light snacks here, since our journey continues.
What to Eat?
Fish, meze, or octopus and squid. A light glass of raki or wine. Sampling seafood by the shore in Datça is a special treat.
Old Datça Tour (Recommended)

Old Datça is a 10-minute taxi ride from the center. Minibuses also run this route, but saving time is important for your day trip plans. You might prefer to take a taxi.
You can stroll through the streets of Old Datça and capture some wonderful photos. The stone buildings, narrow streets, and small cafes give this place a unique atmosphere.
Hayıtbükü

It’s a 25- to 30-minute drive from Old Datça by private car or taxi. It might be a bit of a stretch for your day trip, but you can choose between visiting here and Old Datça.
This cove is an unspoiled, peaceful spot nestled in nature. It’s ideal for relaxing and clearing your head. The beach may have a light pebble surface, but the water is incredibly clear.
You’ll find small restaurants along the shore. It’s a warm, down-to-earth place, not at all fancy.
Return to the Harbor

When you return to the harbor, sunset is just beginning. If you can find a ticket for the 7:00 PM return trip, you’ll have a much more enjoyable time at the harbor.
This itinerary has been prepared specifically for visitors planning a day trip. Of course, there’s much more to do in Datça than just these activities.
